not sure about the robots but I can answer the missionary question.
There can only be one owner of converts. The odds of a missionary claiming the converts is equal to the number it created that turn. If 2 missionarys each created 5 converts, then the planet will have 10 converts, each missionary has a 50-50 chance to gaining all 10. Next turn Missionary X owns the 10 on the planet and is converting 5 more while Missionary Y is creating 5 more, so Y has a 25% chance of claiming all converts and Missionary X has 75% chance of claiming all the converts.
