Question about firing on population

Post by Puzzler »

If you fire at the population of a world that has some converts, will the regular civilians be shot, or the converts?
If you are a missionary and have pronounced judgment on the owner of the planet (but not the owner of the converts) will you lose any points?
Is the answer different if you are the missionary that owns the converts, and the planet is owned by someone else?

Thanks.

Both. The civilians and the converts will die in proportion to their ratio of the total population.

Maybe. The civilians are considered owned by the planet's owner (so you will gain 2 points for each of these killed), but the converts are considered owned by the converts owner (so you lose 1 point for each of these killed). I believe you don't lose any points for firing at your non-target, though, since the fire order is considered directed at the planet's owner for this purpose.

No. It doesn't matter whether you are the converts owner or someone else is: if you kill converts that aren't owned by your declared target, you lose points for killing innocents.
