I've just instituted a new policy to attempt to cut down on the recent spate of obnoxious spam: now, users need to associate a valid email address with their account before being allow to post in the forums. I'm pretty sure that won't adversely impact anyone here, and it should do a lot to discourage this spambot.

Please let me know if anyone has trouble as a result of this change.

Yeah, sorry about that. I just deleted the recent spam. This spammer is particularly persistent; this time they actually did create some burner email addresses on yahoo.com to register their fake accounts.
