RSW version 0.93

Post by drwr »

This release mainly emphasizes server improvements, but there are a few client fixes in there too.
Version 0.93:

* Client now reports game positions shared by the same person.

* You may now choose the game position to send as when exporting a
report.

* Fixed a problem with losing world connections after importing a
report.

* Fixed case-sensitive web login.

* Fixed confusion between HH:MM and MM:SS displays.

* The set of available "To" boxes for a new message now includes
all the players we have ever heard about, in addition to all the
players we have actually met in-game. (Client only.)

* Client remembers world-size options across sessions.
Track-world-size is now off by default for a new game.

* Fixed case where HTML tags sometimes appear in the score
breakdown list in the Game Info panel.

* Improved server responses when user's email client doesn't set
the In-Reply-To header.

* Improved server messaging when users reply with a different
email address than the one on file.

* Fixed several server race conditions, deadlocks, and crashes.

* Fixed spurious "withdrawn" email announcement when a user takes
over an abandoned position.

It appears that importing a turn report can sometimes zap your current order list. I am investigating. In the meantime, import with caution if you have already submitted some orders. You can cut and paste your current order list from the web page as a security if you have any doubt.

Found it, and fixed it. This appears to have been a longstanding bug, though, not a new bug with this release; so I won't bother making an emergency patch to fix it. The fix will be in the next release. In the meantime, just be aware of the potential of losing your order list when you import someone's turn report.
