question for David

how much ram/rom do you think it would take to install rsw_client (w python, etc) on an android tablet?

One of the machines I am running with rswgame is an old Dell Xenon sever with 4GB. client runs ok but is slow by today's standards

I'm going to buy a tablet that I can play rswgame on exclusively

Does wxPython exist for Android? I'd be a bit surprised if it does, but I haven't looked into it. If it doesn't, you won't be able to run rsw_client on your Android tablet, sorry to say.

On the other hand, if it *does* exist, you should be fine. The RAM requirements depend on how big a game you want to try to play, but should be reasonable for most reasonable-sized games.

RSW Client is a simple install on Zorin OS. No worries about wxpython, etc. Did you update the platform independent python client?

Zorin is a great OS if anyone is interested Zorin-os.com

Cool, I'm glad it installed cleanly. The platform-independent client is at version 1.0.6.3, which is the same version as the Windows and Mac installers.
