RSW version 0.98.8

Post by drwr »

Cool. No more world connection lines that stretch halfway across the screen because you can't get the map to lie flat.

Also, hopefully, fewer drive-by new-game announcements for silly games.

David
Version 0.98.8:

* New tools for managing complex maps: right-click on a world to
wrap, curve, or tunnel your world connection lines.

* Fixed a client exception that occurred sometimes when you
right-clicked on a fleet on the map.

* Server: brand new users are no longer allowed to create
specialty public games, in an attempt to cut down on silly game
creation. Also, a new game is not actually created (and the email
announcement is not sent) until after the creator signs up to play
it.

I think I just set a record on the fastest bugfix followup ever.

David

the map after upgrading to 0.98.8.

RSW version 0.98.8.4

Post by drwr »

Several relatively minor bugfixes.
Version 0.98.8.4:

* Home fleets will always snap back to their standard spot after
being dragged away.

* Fixed exception when right-clicking on connection tunnel and
curve handles.

* Fixed bug when entering "At Peace" orders for multiple fleets at
once.

* Fixed bug when changing player colors.

* Fixed exception when clicking "Cancel" on send-orders form.

* Fixed exception when importing a turnsheet from a forwarded
email.

* Fixed odd behavior with load-metal orders in conjunction with
predicted ambush.

* Fixed occasional exception when editing overall configure
settings.

* Fixed exception when ordering fleets through hypothetical world
connections.

* Server: delayed new-game announcements for 30 minutes, to give
the game creator a chance to withdraw and cancel the game before
the announcement is sent to everyone.

* Server: "Suggest another game like X" is now only offered for
games in which you are already involved, in an attempt to cut down
further on frivolous game creation by naive users.
