Re: famous3u: disable team management

Hi David, thanks for your reply! I think you're right here: For my taste, both players here (johnboy/Dirk and Matthias Boedler) are fully aware of the game conditions and played against it. As said, i call this cheating and would set them on my personal black list, if it is not simply the same perso...

famous3u: disable team management

Hello all, i'm actually playing the game famous3u. The conditions are last man standing and no communication. There're strong indications that the players Jayden and Ulprus are playing as team and coordinate their orders to a high degree. This is, for my understanding, in a game with last man standi...

Re: eliminated position

David,
another question for my understanding:
At the start of the game, 7 players are listed.
If i see they player list, there're still 7 players listed.
But in my Active Game-List this is shown as 6-player game.

Why is it shown as 6-player game in my game list?

Re: eliminated position

Perhaps the rule should be modified thus: if a withdrawn or abandoned position has less than x%, say 10% maybe, of the average share of available resources (worlds/fleets/ships), it should not be offered for takeover by anyone, in any game--the position should be considered effectively dead. If it ...

Re: eliminated position

It sounds like position xxx, which had been eliminated from the game at turn 22, was taken over at turn 62 by the person who is also playing yyy. I don't know why this person would take over an eliminated position within the same game he is already playing, but it is technically legal to do so. (An...

eliminated position

Hello David, one question about game famous3u. I recognized last turn (62) in the news: The position xxx is once again active in the game. This position was effectively eliminated in turn 21 or 22. This turn (63) i recognized within the news: The following positions are played by the same person: xx...

Pandora's box

Hi All, does anyone know at which order phase Pandora's box comes into action/effect? Or is this random as well? Plus some questions/statements to be sure i interpret the rules the correct way: 1. The effect is the same during the complete game although it differs from game to game? 2. It takes effe...

Re: Question about rounding

David, great, thanks for the info, will do! Rainer I believe the fleet escapes. The odd shot is rounded down. Note that you can try this experiment in the client, by entering the orders for both players (you may need to enable this option in the preferences) and then checking the results of the fore...

Question about rounding

Hello,
one question about rounding:

Two opponent fleets, side A with a fleet of 19 ships, side B with a fleet of 5 ships.
Side A fires, side B with the fleet of 5 ships escapes.
Is the fleet of side B eliminated or is one ship left and the fleet escapes?

Mine growing

Hello, i did not recognized so far but had a look at it this turn: The forecast value of some planets show one more mine for the next turn and projecting the turn, it shows one more mine as well. Perhaps i missed the info - is mine growing a standard point and if so, what are the conditions? It seem...

Re: industry3p

Hmm.., sorry, no success here. I deleted the game, reimported and, gave new orders and tried to save the orders. It still waits endless with the message "Querying RSW server for game industry3p" I then can only close and save the game. The orders are saved locally. Closing the whole client...

Re: industry3p

Hello David,
thanks for the quick reply!

Reloading via F5 seems to has no effect
Downloading a specific game using industry3p as game ID seems to hang, too.

Right-click on the game offers only to delete the game, not to reload it.
is it o.k. to delete the game in the client?
