Re: Looking for players
Puuh, tricky, we lack in players. We build a setting of Olympia with roundabout 20-30 players. But we lack in players and never started. Is the code for the game somewhere on Github? I think one of the problems with TAG/Olympia was the archaic UI - even when it comes to the text command interface, ...

Re: Looking for players
I think there is one instance still running at http://www.shadowlandgames.com/olympia/. But most players left the game by now.

Re: rswgame 2.0?
And it took me about two years of my free time to write the current game client, which is fundamentally not an in-browser game. It would presumably take me another two years of work to rewrite it to be an in-browser game. Thank you for your work. From experience in running a free turn based game [1...

Re: Quest for the Great Jewels playtest
Thank you very much for the rules. Great that you have taken up the work to bring back such an old game to life! Please correct me if I am mistaken: It seems to me that QFTGJ is pretty much a StarWeb variant. It looks to me that the biggest difference is the combat system and the map design. I tried...

Re: points vs. strategy
Hello Gort,
the game is about using the correct strategy and diplomacy to get points. In my understanding it is thus that if necessary the balance of races that needs to be tweaked

[Mechanics] Passing through
Hello Dave, I have a question regarding Your mechanics about ships passing through a world: Are only those ships reported to the player that pass through the world at the that a ship of the player is present? I am asking this because the game seems to use a simultanous tick based movement model. Or ...

Game Configuration
Hello, is there any place where I can see the effect of variable tweaking in the game setup menue? I somehow could not find any information regarding these parameters. For instance, what is the result for the min/max value of planets per player, or to be more precise, what is the actual dependence o...

Rumours
Hi, once upon a time I and a couple of friends ran a pbem game based on the Atlantis engine ( http://arcadia.harmus.de , if someone is curious about it). In this game, we had a in-game newspaper for player prosa, GM information and anonymous rumours. Not sure whether it would fit into a game like rs...
