Re: Projected turn data...
I had a really good, total universe map of tuition, but my computer kept choking on it. I handed the game off to Scott, but couldn't figure out how to hand the map off. Would there be some way to override any mapping already done and just replace it with a map from someone else? I know the map gets ...

Re: pockets3h
Hi Robbie; For whatever it's worth I'm probably one of the ones that jumped you during the last couple turns. I had had a protracted struggle with another player for most of the game, he finally collapsed and you had the easiest boarder for me to cross in force, simple as that. I had no idea it was ...

Re: Projected turn data...
That sounds like a wicked cheat! You order a probe, run the projected turn, see whats "going" to be there, and go back and change your orders. Yeah, if everybody takes advantage of it, it would add an entirely different dimension to the game..... but at what price? I see how it would be de...

Re: RSW version 0.98.8.12
I get you, the FnnnE order wouldn't work in an FBI game, their program would choke on it. It would be like the mass load, unload, and movement orders already on the client where a single click writes orders for a bunch of fleets ---- except in this case a single click would generate a bunch of diffe...

Re: Playtesting New Characters
You two (Elliot and David) must have taken Architect and Skip Tracer because I was 3rd in and had to take Arms Dealer. Scott got Scavenger.

Re: RSW version 0.98.8.12
I absolutely love the "game specs" tab! With all these modified games I have a hard time keeping tract of the particulars, and the only way had been to go to the website. Now it's a piece of cake. I'm also tickled about the new characters in slave3m. I've got a feeling I will be doing noth...

Re: Possible New Player
Greetings Valeroth; I've been playing Starweb (which the classic game is a derivative of) for over 30 years --- all snail mail, hand drawn maps, and communication by note cards sent with the game turns. It has always been fun, but I'd never go back. I still play Starweb, but I use David's client to ...

Rhinovirus
Does anyone have any idea what the Rhinovirus does? I stumbled on it, then quickly unloaded it on a collector, but ever since it shows up grayed out on my artifacts list. Have I, like, been "infected"? Is having once picked it up going to come back to haunt me later in the game? I'm not lo...

Re: Ending Score Visibility
It would be nice if other oddball tweaks could be shown too. In "tuition" I totally missed the 5 hops and 5 gifts until Bill clued me in. It's a pain to keep having to go back to the website and check on the particulars for a non-standard game, especially when you've got more than on non-s...

Re: Upscale9n
I was really hoping to hear from Elliot since he designed the game, and I know he was looking to tweak the Warlord character. He and I both showed up on a world with 2 empty keys early on and neither of us would let go. My struggle for most of the game was to keep my HW at full production (with no t...

Great game everyone! Scott ran away with it (as usual) but all in all it was very enjoyable. Since there is no way to message the other players even after the game is over I decided to start a post here and see who responds. Co-operation: The other raider (who turned out to be Dave Rose) and I swapp...

What happened? I got a notice that the game was at "turn 0" and then it vanished! What's up with that?

Re: Shell Game tactics
Shuffling ships from fleet to fleet before combat is one of my favorite parts of the game. It's like poker, trying to outguess what your opponent is going to do, and over the course of prolonged combat, the one that is able to deduce their opponents strategy is more likely to win. I just one a seven...
