Control of World
In RSW Core, I have encountered two situations that appear almost identical to me, but have resulted in different world control outcomes. Can someone please explain this to me? In both situations, my fleets attacked and eliminated a world's D-ships. In both situations, a third player's fleet showed ...

Re: "Finish Turn" button missing?
When it happened to my daughter and me, we were on separate computers, but we were both working on our turns at about the same time. So from that, I speculated that it is not a client issue (since it seemed unlikely that both of our clients would randomly exhibit the same unusual problem at the same...

Re: Question about combat in RSW Core
Also, does a fleet ambush others passing through with the strength it has before or after other local ships have shot at it?

Question about combat in RSW Core
If two fleets, each containing one ship, attack the same enemy fleet in a turn, are the shots cumulative? Or will the shots have no effect, because one shot (considered independently) can't do anything.
Also, when retreating ships take "half damage", is that rounded up or down?
Thanks.

Re: World/Fleet count
I just finished a game (dutch4z), which had 71 worlds for 3 players. Your previous post implies that the upper extreme should be 20 worlds per player. So is 71 worlds for 3 players a problem, or is the range of variation larger than your post stated?

Re: "Finish Turn" button missing?
P.S. Do you prefer for stuff like this to be posted to the forums, or privately reported via the "Send Bug Report" button?

"Finish Turn" button missing?
My daughter and I both independently encountered the same odd behavior (bug?), on separate computers, running the latest client. When I first logged in to my private game, turn 2, the "Finish Turn" button was nowhere to be found. I dragged and dropped a fleet to generate an order, and it p...

Re: Shell Game tactics
Never mind. I just found it under the history menu. I don't know why I didn't notice that before.

Re: Shell Game tactics
Hmm, sounds like I've missed something in the interface. How do you view past turn reports?

Shell Game tactics
Imagine the following scenario in a game of RSW Core at a given world: EmpireA owns Fleet 1, containing 100 ships. EmpireB owns Fleet 2, containing 48 ships. EmpireB owns Fleet 3, containing 51 ships. EmpireA decides to fire on Fleet 2, figuring that he'd like to disable a fleet. EmpireB guesses tha...

Translation
Hypothetically, how hard it would be to translate the text of the various news reports and other client messages into another language? Is there a lot of text to convert?

Deadlines
A minor suggestion: It would be nice if the email that tells you it is time to take your turn also specified the deadline. You can get that information with the client, but it would be helpful in the email as well.

Re: Vacation?
You can temporarily hand your position over to a friend, if you like, by explicitly withdrawing and allowing him to take it over. He can hand it back when you come back. This works best if your friend is not already involved in the same game. Can you describe this option a bit more? Where in the in...

Vacation?
How do other RSW players handle vacation? Do you just skip a turn or two if necessary, or do you simply not enroll in a game if you have any vacation coming up in the next few months?

Re: End of game report
As I think about it more, I think the end of game report was only showing the world/fleet/ship counts of the ones that were known to me on my game map. That would explain why it was so much lower than the data in the game info panel.
