Re: Serious uninstall bug - Windows XP
Thanks for fixing that so quickly. As a technical guy, I'm kind of curious what installer system you use, and what caused the problem, just so I can know for future reference. If you can give a short summary, I'm interested. Was it caused by my installing in a subfolder of Programs, or was it someth...

Re: End of game report
My end of game report now seems to be reflecting the correct numbers. Perhaps it's because I downloaded the omniscient view info, or perhaps it's just from exiting the program and coming back in, but it is now correct.

End of game report
Just finished my first game. The number of worlds, fleets and ships reported as owned by the various players is inconsistent between the "Game Info" panel and the "Report" window. My guess is that the "Game Info" report is correct, because the "Report" counts ...

Serious uninstall bug - Windows XP
On Windows XP, when I uninstall the RSW Client, the uninstaller deletes EVERYTHING in my start menu that is installed for my personal user account (as opposed to the start menu items that are installed for all users). And I mean here that it deletes things that have nothing to do with RSW. I was abl...

Start time oddity
When creating a game, if you specify a start time on a given date, the actual start time after clicking submit is shifted by a few minutes from what was specified. You can also see this behavior if you begin the process of creating a game, and then, rather than clicking submit right away, spend a fe...

Re: Large games?
in a very large game it may be unlikely, at best, that players ever meet those players on the other side of the galaxy, The phrase "other side of the galaxy" makes me wonder at the topology of the galaxy. In the 3-player game I'm playing, one player is definitely "in the middle"...

Forum bug?
When every I try to login on the forum login page, I get a blank page, and it doesn't actually log me in.
However, if I login on the rswgame login page, and then switch to the forum, it works fine.

Games on a schedule
When creating a game, how does the "Scheduled days" option interact with the "quick turns" option? In other words, if you're scheduled for M, W, F, and people finish their Monday turns early, what happens? Is the next turn still due Wednesday? What if the Wednesday turn finishes ...

Large games?
Looking through the list of completed games, it doesn't look like there have been many(any?) large games played. Do you think there would be any difficulties scaling to, say, 40 players? I mean this question both from a technical perspective, and also from a gameplay perspective (I'm thinking RSW co...

Re: Core game interface
A lot of that I had figured out, but not the part about selecting a region of space for highlighting in the fleet list. That should help. I guess there may be other subtleties to the interface I still need to discover.
Speaking of which, what does Track world size from sort do?

Re: Core game interface
I'm aware of the pop-ups. But frequently, I want to find the largest fleet in an area. Hovering over dozens of fleets, waiting a few seconds for the info to pop-up on each one, all adds up. I can get the job done, but it feels slow, and since fleet size (at least in the core game) is the most import...

Core game interface
A couple newbie observations about the core game. 1. The turn report news in the interface isn't as detailed as the one on the website. For example, it combines a lot of movement and combat info into vague overall statements (you have witnessed combat at ...). I'd ideally like more of a blow-by-blow...
