Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Dave. The path name was all wrong (it was in Documents & Settings) but I eventually found it. The client is now importing "game reports". If I lost all my maps I'm gonna SCREAM!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Creed is due in 16 hours and I can't get the client to run! I went so far as to uninstall and reinstall and still have the same results. The Client opens with the game list and at the bottom it says "getting game list from server" and nothing more ever happens. The "Game" field f...

Re: frequent error messages

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I never dreamed the "completed games" would have ANY effect on how the client ran, let alone such and enormous one! Deleting them was laborious (the client ran slow and kept hanging), but as more were deleted it gradually ran faster :P Once they were all gone everything wor...

frequent error messages

Hi David; As you know, I've been playing RSW for many year and have been extremely pleased. But recently the Client has been running slower and slower, with lots of fluttering pointer and nothing happening, and generating piles of error messages and outright crashing. Nothing else that I run seems t...

Re: Preferred Games

Unlike Scott, I DISLIKE Non-com games and I'm glad Dave eliminated them :D However, I agree with him in my dislike of Elliot's 3D maps, I prefer a map that lays out flat with no crossovers --- wraps top to bottom or side to side are okay. I like all the new characters and unusual constraints, though...

Re: Reducing the player pool

I'm with those who have already spoken. I've got a 2D computer screen, trying to layout 3D and 4D maps on it is a pain. I can do it, and I have the time to do it (I was forced into early retirement), but I would prefer NOT to have to do it. There are PLENTY of ways you can lay out and interesting an...

Re: Latest version

No, but this is an updated version of Norton and it tends to be paranoid. Anything with a .exe it considers malicious :-)

Latest version

Hi Dave;
I just got the notice that there was a new version available so I downloaded it, but I got the message >> rswclie...n-win32.exe appears malicious<<
Any idea what's up? I haven't installed it yet.

Re: Client settings

Cool. I'm sure there are programing difficulties, but the defaults have to be set somewhere, and if each player always makes the same set of changes (they stick through the game once you set them after all) then those game wide settings should be transferable to the next game somehow. I would think....

Re: "remember me on this computer"

Well, let's see, the computer clock says 9:08 PM Monday May 30th 2011. Don't think that's the problem. The thing is --- it USED to work! Back before you switched to the other game rating site where I could never read the codes. Once you switched back it didn't work anymore.

"remember me on this computer"

Hi Dave;
How come the "remember me" box doesn't work anymore? Every time I go to vote I now have to enter my password. I didn't used to. The box always shows up unchecked, and checking it makes no difference. Any idea what's up?
