Hmm, you're right. That seems hard to fix, without removing the Delete button hotkey altogether.

Maybe that would be a worthwhile change, since you can also delete orders with the right mouse button.

Oops, there's always one more bug, isn't there? This was a simple one: I just had a test for world.owner == None in the wrong place. This also affected the normal unload and the CG unload orders. I've checked in a fix, which will get published in the next release. In the meantime, typing the order b...

RSW version 0.89

A new release with mainly bugfixes. This also includes 0.88.1, which I never got around to publishing. Version 0.89: * Fixed bug in which order draft flag gets set upon opening a new message in the client. * Fixed bug in which the conditional fire order message never gets reset once it has been issu...

Known bugs

I'll be editing this post as new releases are made to keep it current. Presently, this is current as of release 0.92. * Running with the "Show forecast values" option enabled in the Game Preferences panel has been reported to cause an occasional hard crash. Save frequently if you enable th...

It also means that someone isn't as nefarious as I thought they might be.
Well, they might still be nefarious, but now you can't prove it. :)

It appears that each player has perfect information about all worlds that they owned/had fleets at/sent fleets to on the previous turn. Is that true? Yes, this is true. From Player B's perspective, if the world still appears to be owned by Player A, does that necessarily mean that Player A and Play...

I also had it so that when it got to 89, it would unload some metal. Incidentally, although this isn't related to the bug you're reporting, I should point out that unloading always takes place before moving, so if you order a fleet to move and unload in the same turn, it will unload the metal onto ...

Ah, curses! This is another longstanding bug that I have yet to track down. There seems to be something just a tiny bit wrong in the delete-order code, so that every once in a while, after you delete an order it goes haywire. This error is not at all repeatable, though, so I haven't been able to rep...

RSW version 0.88

This release mainly focuses on fixing some longstanding bugs, along with a handful of small gui improvements. Version 0.88 * Fixed "Your turn" status update. * Show fleet and world one-line notes in several of the order pop-up menus. * Added new "Connect to" menu item on world po...

From the stack trace, I think it is complaining because you closed the client before it had finished submitting your recent changes to the server. It looks like it completed properly, though; it's just failing to update the status bar on the bottom of the window (which is now closed). I don't think ...

Just in case someone didn't notice, this feature made it in as of version 0.85. You can now have one-line notes per each world and fleet, as well as a larger, general scratchpad in the bottom pane. The world and fleet notes can also appear in the World List and Fleet List, but you'll have to add the...

Server glitch 8/15

There was a server glitch early this morning that threw the world into a bit of confusion. I think some people received an announcement email twice, and there was a period of about an hour this morning when the game database was completely down. But everything's all better now. Sorry for the tempora...

Reminder messages

I'm now starting to convince myself that maybe two sets of reminder messages are appropriate. One wave of reminders to be sent out 24 hours before the deadline, and another one to be sent out (to those who still have yet to submit final orders) 2 hours before. The extra reminders shouldn't inconveni...

The new dialog that asked me if I wanted to upgrade was a little odd, though, in that No was on the left and Yes was on the right. Usually it's the other way around. Ah, you're right. I'll reverse them. I get confused because the Linux convention, for reasons of unknown frustration, is the opposite...
